Awesome Python CLI Boilerplate

A quick boilerplate when creating a new CLI apps/scripts in Python3.

Create and source a virtual environment:

virtualenv venv
source venv/bin/activate

Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Install package:

pip install .

Test your install with:

yourapp --help

Create a virtual environment and install the package with an editable option:

pip install --editable .
